Maximum team size would remain at 10. The trail ran from Knik Lake to Pt McKinzie with a mandatory layover at Point McKenzie and return to Knik Lake. Total trail was approximately 90 miles total. During the race, temperatures dipped to -26 on the back trail and -50 at Pt. McKenzie.
