Jonathan Biggerstaff/Myers

Jonathan Biggerstaff/MyersJonathan will turn 14 the day after Christmas this year, making him old enough to run his first Jr. Iditarod by two months. Jonathan says he has mushed all his life. He came from a mushing family. He is a member of the Little Su 4-H Club in the dog mushing program. He ran two junior races last year, the Aurora Scholarship Race and finished 2nd and the Willow Race, which he won. Jonathan is homeschooled and is in the eighth grade. He participates in Latin, Music (plays cello and violin), woodworking and is on the swim team. He says his hobbies besides mushing are kayaking, soccer, mountain biking, scuba diving, swimming, working and he loves to travel. He says that after high school, he plans to go to college and says he will continue mushing.
