Jesse Klejka

Bethel, AK, USA

Jesse Klejka, 17, started mushing when he was eight. He says, “I learned from my siblings. His first Jr. Iditarod was in 2011. He attends Bethel Regional High School where he participates in speech, band, cross country, poetry out loud and battle of the books. He says his hobbies are reading , walking, swimming (when it’s warm enough) and hanging with friends. “I am from a family of seven, of whom all have participated in helping maintain the kennel. Both my older brother and sister have run and won the Jr. Iditarod. Jesse plans on attending college but hasn’t decided on a career. He is also still thinking about mushing.
